This is the first official blog post for Blue Dream Creative, a San Diego web design and digital marketing agency. As the founder, I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about what our agency is all about. Before I do that however, it’s necessary to explain what we are not about.
Over a ten year career working for various digital marketing agencies, I witnessed many practices that were detrimental to the client. Not only that, they were detrimental to the long-term well being of the agencies themselves.
By far, the most common of these practices was overcharging the client. For example, clients were asked to pay for website work at a fixed hourly rate. It didn’t matter if the work was extremely simple or very complex. Consequently, clients often paid $100/hr or more for simple edits and additions. These included things like adding pictures to a gallery, or updating contact information.
Another common practice was rushing a project in order to meet arbitrary quotas and deadlines. Websites were often sent out without looking polished and refined. The focus was purely on revenue, rather than client satisfaction and quality work. There were other grievous practices, and they were all driven by short term interests.
These experiences motivated me to create an agency focused on the client, rather than the short-term interests of the agency. At Blue Dream Creative, client satisfaction is our primary goal. We take our time with every project, making sure everything is just right before it goes live. Whether it’s picking the perfect images, or writing compelling copy, or making sure a layout feels ‘just right’, we always take the time.
Furthermore, we price everything fairly, and make the whole process transparent. You’ll never pay for more than you are getting. By serving your long term interests, we serve our own long term interests. By making sure you are satisfied, we secure a future for our agency. At Blue Dream Creative, you always come first- it’s the best possible long term business strategy.
